Refund & Cancellation Policy

How to cancel, when you can get a refund, and what happens to your data when you leave.
Effective: May 12, 2026
Last updated: May 12, 2026
Version: 1.0

1. How to cancel

You may cancel your Pursor subscription at any time, with no penalty or "retention call" required, in any of these ways:

  • In-app — Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription. The button takes you through cancellation in two clicks.
  • By email — send "Please cancel my subscription" with your account email to billing@pursor.co.

We follow the FTC's click-to-cancel principle and California's Automatic Renewal Law: you can cancel using the same method you signed up, without speaking to a representative.

2. When cancellation takes effect

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access to the Service until then, including the right to send messages, download your data, and use AI features.

3. Refunds

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. We make exceptions in these circumstances:

  • Unintentional auto-renewal — if you forgot to cancel and the new period was only a few days old when you reached out, we will issue a pro-rata refund of the unused portion.
  • Service unavailable for an extended period — if the Service was substantially unavailable to you due to a Pursor outage for more than 48 consecutive hours in a billing month, we will credit or refund a pro-rata amount on request.
  • Where required by law — including state automatic-renewal laws and EU consumer-protection rules.

Refund requests: billing@pursor.co. We respond within 5 business days.

4. Free trials

If you sign up for a free trial, you will be reminded by email at least 3 days before the trial ends. You can cancel during the trial without being charged. If you do not cancel, your card will be charged at the agreed price when the trial ends.

5. What happens to your data after cancellation

For 30 days after your subscription ends, you can log in to export your data (CSV download in Settings → Export). After 30 days, your account is moved to cold storage for an additional 90 days, during which we can restore it on request. After 120 days total, we permanently delete your account except for records we are required to keep by law (billing for 7 years, SMS consent logs as required by TCPA and state law).
