How to delete your data

Disconnect Google, remove Pursor’s access in your Google Account, or ask us to delete your account: what happens and when.
Last updated: October 29, 2026

1. Disconnect Google

In Pursor, open Settings → Connections and choose Disconnect Google. Right away, Pursor:

  • revokes its access with Google and deletes the Google access tokens it stored;
  • deletes the email content it stored: the text, senders and subjects of email drafts (including the original emails they answered) and of emails it skipped.

Pursor keeps only the count of drafts written, with no content, for your plan's draft allowance and your Results. Email reply drafts and calendar sync stop. Appointments already on your Pursor schedule stay until you delete your account. You can reconnect at any time.

2. Remove Pursor in your Google Account

You can also cut Pursor off from Google's side: go to myaccount.google.com/permissions, choose Pursor, then Remove access. Pursor can no longer read or send your email or use your calendar. This doesn't delete what Pursor already stored; use Disconnect Google in Pursor (above) or ask us to delete your account (below) for that.

3. Ask us to delete your account

In Pursor, open Settings → Plan & account and choose Delete my account, or email privacy@pursor.co from your account's email address. This sends us a deletion request; a person carries it out.

  • What we delete: your account and business profile, your customers and conversations, texts and call history, drafts and any email content Pursor stored, appointments and notes. We remove Pursor's access to Google, cancel your subscription and release your Pursor phone number.
  • What we keep: billing records and invoices (US tax law, 7 years) and SMS consent records (at least 4 years, as the TCPA requires; 10 years for Virginia opt-outs).
  • When: within 30 days of your request. We email you when it's done. Until then your account keeps working; to cancel the request, email support@pursor.co.

4. If you are a customer of a business that uses Pursor

The business you contacted controls your messages. Ask that business to delete them, or email privacy@pursor.co and we'll pass your request to them. To stop texts from a business, reply STOP.

5. Questions

Email privacy@pursor.co. Our Privacy Policy lists how long each kind of data is kept.
